Lakers' fans aren't happy, and Kobe Bryant isn't happy. After all, as a five-time NBA Champion, the 33-year-old Bryant is said to be obsessed with tying Michael Jordan's astonishing record of six NBA Championships.
On top of Bryant's goal, the Lakers now have to compete with their crosstown rivals even more. With the Los Angeles Clippers' acquisition of Chris Paul this past season and Blake Griffin's continued dominance, L.A. isn't a "one-team town" anymore. With the Clippers' recent trade with the Dallas Mavericks to acquire Lamar Odom, its five-year contract extension with Griffin, and evolving negotiations with former Trail Blazers' guard Jamal Crawford, the Clippers are being as active as the Lakers are supposed to be.

Does this mean the Lakers are poised to win another title?
